100...blog 100...mile marker? a place holder in life. a short life that will disappear into the breath of time that crosses its path. the bit of time that passes could be captured in your minds eye.

as i stared at the fire, minute sparks leaped towards me. i saw streaks of yellow and orange. they reached about 2 feet from the fire, then they came to an end. like sticks of fire that froze in time. as i moved forward, i placed one foot on the end of the fire stick. I walked down its arched back into the very fire itself. the photon of light that i began walking on was "energy". pure energy that came from the death of an atom. as i traversed the light stick i realized that it was the last bit of energy released by an atom that had once been part of a piece of wood. as i got closer to the light source, time began to slow down. i began to move thru time in reverse, as i watched that singular atoms evolution work its way backwards thru time. much like the Time Machine as it stood in place and the time traveller was able to see the world around it go by, i was watching time go by as the reverse evolution of this atom went back into the tree it came from. it was decaying in the soil before it was absorbed by the tree, it had fallen to the ground from a robin that had just eaten, it was part of a worm that was eaten by the bird, it was part of the bacteria eaten by the worm, it was spit tossed by a human, it was a piece of steak eaten by the human, it was part of a steer before that, and it was part of the feed even before that. and going back even further it was part of a log cabin that burned down 100 years ago. i saw people going by and yet they didtn see me. it was as if i was moving with the light energy that bonded to the atom and i was invisible. i watched the world go by, and i realized all that is will always be and whatever i am now will always exist until time itself and everything that exists comes to its final ending. but as long as energy exists, you can indeed travel with the light to any time you ever wanted to be a part of.

we finally got the code for our new project back from texas. its been a long project. going on one year now. 25% complete. a long road ahead. a sick sick road to whatever unknown ending lies ahead.

i think we have a very important mission ahead. with the realization that the human race and our planet "could" possibly disappear at any time due to any number of circumstances. it is our duty to survive the human race and i think it is imperative that we begin immediate construction on more than one large scale mission to inhabit another planet in our solar system. within that mission would be a tour mission that heads out to saturn and back with a crew of 200 to 400.

for the past 20 years i'v been absolutely positive that there must be life out there in the universe. because of the fact that all the ingredients that are here on earth exist everywhere in the universe, it would seem foolish to think that life exists here and here only. same as thinking the earth was flat or that the earth was the center of the solar system. but because of the life of this planet, its evolution and strange circumstance, i would actually believe that that "same" exact circumstance could never happen again. for life to evolve out there the ingredients are there but it would have to come from its own evolution. watch "the earth" or "how the earth began" on the discovery channel. its a story thats impossible to duplicate. so if by chance we are the only "intelligent" life out there, it is our duty to humanity to survive the human civilization beyond jsut earth.

in the time it has taken humanity to get this far. basically 100+ years to get to the point of being able to communicate between planets. that is such a small amount of time in the lifetime of the universe and even the lifetime of the earth. other civilzations couldv evolved and died on other planets many times over. the chances of ours arriving at the same point in time where we both have capabilites of radio communication is another piece of the puzzle where the odds are overwhelmingly against us.

time to motivate and build that spacecraft and station on the moon, also on mars, and also on one of the moons of jupiter or saturn.

still running a business. everything is moving. need more staff. more ideas. more expansion. aside from that my business partner is having surgery tomrw. one day. in and out. hope everything goes well. microsoft vista i see as a very big mistake. seems complicated. i still say its not being developed for my grandmother, its being developed for geeks. computers shud be for teh masses and being windows controls 90% of all the computers in the world they control who can use a computer by making it require a certain skill level. thus it eliminates a percentage of teh population, and also scares off some potential users from even attempting to use one. namely my father and my good friend andrew. 40 yrs old and refuses to get a computer. the uses are endless as anyone knows that already reading this. weather has been raining a good portion of the last 35 days and has gotten us out of the drought we were in. restricted watering. down to one day a week. new hurricane season. hopefully as deas as last year. golf last week was one of the best ever, playoff between jay williamson and hunter mahan. awesome golf to be rememebred forever. jay is a great guy. hunter too. but you had to root for jay. he was the underdog. us open was sick. tiger lost by a shot. incredible golf.

running a business is quite a task. i mean running your own business. its so exciting at first. so enjoyable to have the freedom to make your own decisions. to be in charge. to help customers in need of asistance. until people start to complain, not pay their bills, be difficult, not cooperate, become plain stupid, and turn into absolute idiots. i loved becoming a business owner. and now i cant understand how people build a business into a huge success. i thouth we'd be millionaires in 2 years. my product shud be so good that it shud sell itself. if i have to peddle my wares, which i apparently have to do then it takes 100 times the effort to sell the product. when you sell pizza people come to you. but when you sell software you need to get it to THEM. otherwise they may never find you. getting it to them is an issue, cause i was unaware that an ad in a magazine costs 2 to 5 thousand dollars. i thut maybe a hundred? wow. advertising is expensive. could run you right out of business if you dont watch out. you could blow 50K on advertising and get absolutley nothing in return. its a scary thought. i;d rather take that 50K and dump it on the mortgage and just pay down the house. i bought a house in tx. if i dropped 50K on that mortgage i'd only have 25K left to pay. if i dump it into advertising i might never even get a steak dinner out of it. and me? i need the steak dinner.

another thing i noticed is you need to know how to bullshit. bullshit the client, bullshit your business associate and bullshit everyone. but thats my biggest problem. i want to alwys tell the truth. never tell a lie. then you'll never have to apologize or deal with a promise that wasnt fulfilled. i know business owners that will promise anything to make a sale. i told my partner we DO NOT make promises. we do not negotiate price. everything is the way it is and thats that. i dont want to be bending rules for this sale and that sale and making promises that cant be kept. thats how the first company that owned this software went under. they promised everything under the sun. promise after promise that couldnt be kept. and it all collapsed one day. i wont go down that road.

watched a dateline special on credit card theft. heres the entire story in a nutshell. your neighbor, i mean your dumbass neighbor, is helping steal your indentity and max your credit cards out, ruining your life, and he/she doestn even know it, because they ARE as i said before "a dumbass". heres the longer version. your credit card gets stolen thru a website or a phishing scam. usually by an illegal outfit based in nigeria or a small town nearby that i cant remember. lots of internet cafes, and every possible illegal good travelling across the world travels thru this country. they might as well call the capital illegal nigeria. the guy in the cafe takes your card and usually within 12 hours the card is maxed out by purchasing big screen tv's, computers and all kinds of electronics goods. why dont they just not deliver the merchandise? i agree, but that doesnt seem to happen, its shipped out within miniutes of the order and its well on its way thru UPS or DHL. where's it going? to your dumbass neighbors house. you say, why my dumbass neighbors house? well your dumbass neighbor takes that merchandise deliverd from best buy or circuit city and ships it to nigeria, or el salvador, or brazil or germany. you say, why would my dumbass neighbor do that? i'll tell you why. your 46yr old mother of 2 kids dumbass neighbor was on the computer about 6 months ago and met a really nice guy from Panama. he sent her some nice pictures and told her that he thought she was beautiful. he even told her that he wants to meet her someday. he wishes he could marry her, but he cant get out of Panama. but in the meantime he told her that he works for an import export company and that it would be nice if she could help him deliver some packages. so he ships all kinds of boxes, small boxes, big boxes, huge boxes, lotsa boxes to your dumbass neighbor, or it might be 58 yr old single guy neighbor thats also doing this. he met a nice pretty girl online that told him just about the same story the divorcee heard. he has a garage full of illegal goods that he thinks is coming thru from his girlfriend in brazil. he doesnt realize that the dude in nigeria sent him the pictures of a pretty girl because the nigerian guy chats in broken english like he from brazil. hello charlie. i miss you. i wish come see you. oh why i can no get out of brazil. i wish come to america. please charlie help me. charlies been shipping hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stolen goods all over the world for over a year. and he doenst even know that he's shipping crap that was just purchased with YOUR stolen credit card number. isnt that wonderful news, americans blinding ripping off other americans, and doing it with a big caring smile on their faces because they met a pretty girl online from brazil. how lovely. do you know how many charlies there are out there??? hundreds, possibly a thousand or two. suzies too. she'll do anything for the handsome guy from panama. why would he steer her wrong? so our neighbors are being outwitted by a young nigerian guy sitting in a cafe in west africa, and your good ole neighbor is helping destroy your entire life. how dumb are americans, that they could ...i cant even go on. thinking that my next door neighbor is.....i cant .....this is so stupid! this is unbeleivable! this is hopeless!.

I'm in search of an answer to todays mysteries. Fuel cell solutions. global warming. travelling at the speed of light. or faster. creating life, altering life, extending life. space travel to other galaxies. watched a discovery channel episode on einstein. it went thru all of the discoveries that were necessary to have taken place before his, for einstein to come up with his biggest discovery E=mc squared. many people had to make individual discoveries for him to finally achieve his greatest discovery of all. the "squared" piece of the puzzle seems to be linked to many other discoveries from the past. the "square" and "square root" are links to many different aspects of life and relativity. for instance, if an object weighs 10 lbs. and is rolled across the ground, it takes X number of feet to stop that object. if another object weighs twice as much, 20 lbs, and you roll it, how many feet does it take to stop that object? twice as far? no....being the 2nd object weighs twice as much, it takes that number squared. 4. ....so if it takes 10lbs 15ft to come to a rest, then 20 lbs takes 60ft to come to a rest. the same applies with speed. if an object is travelling at 10mph, and takes 30ft to stop. then the same object travelling at 30mph takes 270ft to stop. three times the speed = 9 times the distance to stop. anyway, magnetic fields are part of everything. even we have magnetic fields around us.

Light. what is light, and how does light travel. things may have changed but i remember from physics class that light travels in bursts of photons? small packets of light. which would be small packets of energy. i ask how can we break down or turn photons into usable energy? is there anything that we have created that can capture light and convert it to energy? we've created photoelectric cells to create energy from sunlight. how could we use that technology for space travel? we'd have to build thousands of feet of soalr panels to conduct enough power to generate even the smallest engine. what else can convert light to energy? plants!

Magnets bend light. magnets bend energy. because the universe is magnetic, the light travelling thru it is always being bent or travels on a curve. what is the perfect curve? i say that would be an ellipse. our own orbit is an ellipse. everything orbits and travels in an ellipse. or oval. what i'm outlining are the different items that have stuck out as most important or universal to the world and universe. laws that seem to always hold true. my conclusion to the mystery was Magnetic Oval Light D. i forget what the D is for, but it was the final piece in my private discovery that i made 3 months ago. MOLD. mold the simplest form of plant life, converts light to energy. using mold as the energy source for space travel is the key to long distance travel. and or fuel cell technology. another private discovery was algae. i noticed algae is absorbed by jellyfish. the simplest of jelly fish basically breath algae and convert it to live energy, which we sometimes see as light flashes inside the jellyfish. algae lives in water. using algae and water, we should be able to somehow develop fuel cells that can create unlimited amounts of regenerating fuel. whatever algae and mold do with light to convert it to energy should be able to be duplicated.

now magnets and light. and mirrors. mirrors reflect light. magnets bend light. im picturing a hollow sphere, the inside is mirrored. if i inject a photon of light into the sphere, then seal it, the energy/light should sustain itself in an endless reflection of itself. a sphere of energy. limitless energy.

time. light. ellipse, energy. magnetic forces. eistein said we can never travel at the speed of light becuase if we did so, time itself would slow down and if then surpassed the speed of light, time itself would go backwards. therefore according to einstein we cannot travel faster than the speed of light. BUT, if we could travel faster than the speed of light, and einsteins theory holds true, we would indeed be able to travel back in time. but i say, why would time go backwards? why couldnt it just stand still? if you could travel faster than the speed of light, i think then we would be able to travel between galaxies. reaching other planets and suns. other beings? civilizations? worlds? or if "they" have already made this discovery then they already can travel across the universe in much shorter spans of time, and thus visit us from afar. and if they can move at the speed of light or faster, then their movements among us would be so rapid as to be undetectable. thus they could indeed live among us and we would never know they were here. which leads me to believe that they are among us right now. living, eating(if they even eat) breathing, moving around us at all times. we will never know, then again yes we will know, when we make the "discovery". the true discovery of relativity and light energy and the ability to travel at the speed of time. its out there. science says we cannot travel faster than the speed of light, but why not?

dimensions. people say that other dimensions may exist. dimensions that we do not see, where people may exist, ghosts, spirits, beings. light has different wavelengths. some of those wavelegths we cannot see with the naked eye. we have seemingly mapped "all" the wavelengths of light and we know which are visible to the naked eye. some wavelenghts like infrared light require us to use assistance to view objects in that range. are there wavelengths that we do not know about? that we do not have tools that can measure or "see" obejects that may exist in that wavelength? in relation to dimensions, wavelengths are real dimensions that we do not see and thus objects or "things" could somehow exist in those dimensions that are not visible to our naked eye.

hyper execeleration must be the solution. vibrations. resonant frequency. ellipse. oval is the perfect shape. natural shape of egg. life. containment. orbit. magnetic wavelength. force.

4:34PM

just sat out at the pool for an hour and remembered the D. Magnetic Oval Light Diamond. Thats how i came up with mold as the key to the fuel cell or unlimited reusable energy. and the D was for diamond. build an oval mirrored sphere, the mirrors inside are magnetic, inside of the sphere is a diamond. once light is stored inside it will perpetuate for eternity, generating a magnetic energy that can be used in machines.

was just wondering how an objects resonant frequency is achieved. i'd be willing to bet its somehow a relation between the objects mass, weight, and number of vibrations, and the square of one of those values. i assure you that squaring is somehow involved in the mix.

7:40pm

Resonant frequency. sometimes you hear a ringing in your ears.

Been a long time since we spoke. where am i now? in houston. on my way back to florida from dallas. been a wild ride since 2004. lets see how much i can recap and how quickly. lets start from today and go backwards. bonnie and i are still running our software company out of south florida. in negotiation with a new franchise to be their preferred software vendor. very exciting right now. we started a new web based product in november with a team in tx, which is where i just came from. a great company to work with and i have a great team of programmers working our new application. we had a trade show in san francisco two weeks ago. was a wonderful trip, but didnt get any time to do much, other than work. met with our new corporate sales rep in CA, he is a great guy and very talented at that. he is currently working the franchise deal that we are in the hopes of closing on soon. two weeks before we went to san fran, bonnie and i went to amsterdam. oh what a wonderful place. this was my fourth visit but bonnies first. that trip in itself will be one awesome blog of people, places, and fun. will have to blog it so as not to forget it. theres really so much to do in life that its hard to find the time to keep up with what has passed. last month i purchased a boat rental membership so i can now take out a boat any time i like. the first time was such a blast. bonnie, jessica, myself and our neighbors ben and gladys took out a nice 28' brand new something or other. all i can say is, it was an awesome boat and a perfect day to cruise the intercoastal of fort lauderdale florida. we stopped at a restaurant on the intercoastal, docked and ate what i would have to say was the best brunch i have ever had in my entire life. and i literally cant wait to get back. cant wait to take pops and his gal beverly on this outing. theyr gonna be blown away. what a superb afternoon of pure relaxation. cant wait till the next boat trip. in december we had a wonderful xmas party with our new team of employees. at that time we had the largest staff of employees so far. that was 9. since then we have let go of 3 of them. the team we have now is as solid as it can get and the workload is tremendous. we're finally at a level of stability where we dont have to worry about cash flow. life is very good right now, as always. what can i say about 2005 or even 2006 as a whole except for that i dont remember a dam thing. thats a shame, and now i know why the heck you shud keep a blog. otherwise you forget everything.

2005 - oh yeah, we had 2 hurricanes. Katrina and now i cant remember the other one. Katina is something that none of us will ever forget. it came across the atlantic and was headed straight at south florida. when it hit us it wasnt very powerful. it was a category 1 at the time. dumped a lot of rain on us then moved west across south florida out into the gulf of mexico. as it passed us i predicted (as i always do every year) that it would strengthen in the gulf and head towards new orleans and be the worst hurricane in american history. unfortunately my prediction came true. Katrina broek the levees of new orleans and flooded the city beyond belief. half a million people were dispalced. over 100,000 camped out in the superdome and left it a complete disaster. it finally reopened two years later and new orleans almost made it to the superbowl. i would say every american was most likely routing for them to make it. as of today new orleans is still a complete mess. most residents have moved away, the entire coastal community will surely never come back. theres nothing to come back to. no roads, no homes, no buildings. oh forgot to mention Katrina was a category 5 hurricane. anyway we here in south florida were hit by a second hurricane that i cant remember the damn name of. and that was our big one. we lost all 3 trees on our property, aside from losing every tree in the county? i think the report said we lost over 100,000 trees. there is a picture to the right of some of the devastation. its been just about 2 years now and the roof still isnt fixed. theres still tarps on thousands of homes. and our hurricane is nothing compared to what hit new orleans. new orleans will never ever be the same at least not in my lifetime. there will be many stories told of what new orleans used to be like for many decades to come. its amazing how different your environment looks when its missing 100,000 trees. you drive up your block and you just dont recognize it. nothing looks the same or feels the same. i remember going out the next morning after the hurricane passed, and it was a complete war zone. trees littered the streets and there wasnt one traffic light working within 20 miles. imagine how many traffic lights that is. hundreds if not thousands. now imagine what its like to drive without traffic lights. it was pure mayhem. it was like takign your life in your own hands whenever you went out the front door. it was beyond belief. and if you thought people were bad drivers before? i wish that you could only experience it for yourself. driving around obstacles on every street, trees, and all kinds of debris everywhere, and on top of that people driving like maniacs. electricity was out for weeks in most places. luckily for us it was only 3 days. our office manager had no electricity for over a month. that span of time was very touugh for south florida and it makes me think of how rough it is for new orleans still today 2 years later.

what else is there to cover...hmmm. still playing poker. played in a 1 million dollar tournament. heres how it went. played in a sub-qualifier on thursday. had to finish in the top 100 to get into a qualifier. 4000 entries, i finished in 61st. then on friday i had to finish in the top 75 in the qualifier to maek it to the million tournament. i finished in 71st. yeah i just made it by the skin on my ass and i dont even have much of an ass. on saturday i really thut i was going to win the top prize of 500,000. top 100 paid. finishing 91-100 paid $200. 81-90 was $400. and so on. 21-30 was $10,000. there were another 4000 entries. i played golf that morning and was so pumped my head was spinning. anyway to make a long story short i finished 81st. $400 payoff. can i complain? no...it was the chance of a lifetime. still playing today though. took a few months off then started again playing much smaller stakes than prevsiously. i used to play $5 - $10 even $30 games. now its .50, $1 or $2. its a lot of fun, and i still try for that million dollar qualifier every now and then. someday who knows. it sure is a lot of fun though.

the big news this week was a shooting that took place on virginia tech college campus. i was driving from bowie tx to arlington, about a 100 mile drive. i had AM radio on and heard about a shooting at about 830am. the report was that there were 2 people reported dead at virginia tech, shot by an unknown gunman. by the end of the day when i went to hooters for a beer, the fella next to me bumped me and said "do you believe that? 33 people killed." i said "what?!" as i looked up at the tv in front of me i saw headlines, 33 killed at virginia tech. what a sick day. apparently 2 were shot early in the morning and as the investigation into that took place, the gunman went to a dormitory and classroom and killed a whole bunch more. its been all over the news for the last 2 days. the gunman was a quiet asian student that other students said, never spoke a word, never smiled, never ate lunch with anyone, never made a friend. his own roomate said, "i tried to talk to him back in august but he didnt respond." can you believe that! his roommate just casually blew him off after trying to communicate with him 6 months ago? lived 3 feet from the guy for 6 months and never again tried to say hello? dumbass americans. nobody really pays atttention to anything. thats the problem with this country, nobody cares. they only care when "it happens to them" or happens to their family or "theor" friend. otherwsie you could be bleeding to death in the street and most americans will jsut walk right by. sick state of affairs. this in itself is a long conversation that i really need to elaborate on. how careless people are. as a matter of fact, i just signed up to volunteer in new orleans. to do anything. cook food, wash dishes, roofing, carpentry, anything to helpo the hurricane victims. the website said you will be contacted immediately. that was 2 weeks ago and i still havnt been contacted?!! i dont know folks. i just dont know. shud i bother trying again? its actually going to be the first thing i do when i get back. i'll keep you posted. gotta go catch a flight to florida. bye.

Christmas is coming! Merry Christmas everyone! Well i think i'm done with my poker fetish. hvnt won in a couple of weeks, and i'm playing too much, getting a little too hooked on poker. need to lay off. one tournament a week is fine, but 3 or 4 is losing control. a waste of hard earned cash. jets are looking to get into the playoffs, lots of exciting football. and once again the playoffs are going to be awesome. with pittsburgh, new england and indianapolis in the playoffs together, its going to be sick. my golf game is escalating, playing really well lately. had a chance at 79 last week and blew it again. shot 80. oh well. i paired up with a couple of black guys. they dressed sharp as shit. i thought they were gonna kick my ass. turned out i wont $25. charles the old guy, about 55, has a great game. very focused and consistent. the young guy talks like deion sanders. he's a pisser. they called me this week to play again. i know they wanted to win their money back. badly. so i brought steve along. and the 4 of us had just about the best day of golf i've ever had. we laughed all day long. at the end of the day john(the younger guy, chuck is the old man)said 'i think we got a weekly game here' and we all laughed and cant wait to go out and play again. thats what life's all about. meeting new people and just having fun. imagine that! two white guys and two black guys hanging out together having fun?! i hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and look for me on tv at the new england patriot/NY jets game the day after christmas. i'll be 10 rows above the fireman. J - E - T - S - jets jets jets!

I kept forgetting to write this next blog. donald trump fired the first guy brandon because he recinded his exemption status and put himself up for nomination availability. when he was nominated, donald said it was a very stupid impulsive decision to put yourself up for nomination. he said a decision like that could instantly destroy a company. brandons logic was 'i'm part of the team, i'm the captain, i need to go down with the ship'. which in my mind i agree with. when i watched that firing, i said, 'i wouldv done the same thing. and i wouldv gotten fired too. screw donald. i'm glad i wasnt on the show'. i think if donald was on a ship he would abandon ship and let everyone else sink. kinda like being the president of enron and trying to skate out the back door, 'dont blame me! i wasnt involved!' sorry donald i couldnt do that, i'd at least try to save one person, and if i died doing it then i die. at least i tried.

bush's cabinet is abandoning him. holy shit! i guess thats how things work in that big ole corporate/government world! donald was right! jump ship whenever possible! wow i dont even know what to continue with. all the big guys are leaving, ridge, powell, rumsfeld. is bush doomed? we'll have to see.

i'm so tired of eating i cant take it anymore. i mean i love food, but i'm sick and tired of having to stop what i'm doing and cook a meal or get dressed and go out to eat. every damn day, you have to eat. and its not one meal but 2, 3 or even 4 meals throughout the day. i'm just tired of it. i'd rather be a tiger and eat once a week. it takes almost as much energy to eat as it does to eat. i dont know what that means, but having to eat everyday is a pain in the ass, and its getting old really fast. how many times can you eat filet mignon, and a lobster tail before its one too many, and you never want to eat it again. i LOVE good food, and thats all that i eat now. only my favorite meals, all the time. but i know it cant last too long. maybe i need to go out and eat some crummy food, to make sure i continue to enjoy my favorites for a long time to come. because theyr starting to get old real fast.

how many more times is smokey and the bandit going to be on tv? i dont think it will ever stop. it might even be playing on the day the world comes to an end.

finally won a poker tournament. so i'v now played in 6 texas holdem poker tournaments. i finished 3rd, 4th, 1st, 3rd, 8th, 3rd. too bad third doesnt pay. looks like i'm going to the big casino to play. $135 to enter. but 3rd place is in the money. so being i'm so good at catching third, looks like i'm heading down to the miccosukee casino and playin some poker!

did you see the fight at the basketball game on friday night? i actually got nervous as i watched it. it was scary. i imagined that scene breaking out at the poker room. i imagined the same melee breaking out while your strolling thru a mall. getting punched in the face by a 6'8" black dude. i'm laying on the floor getting pummeled and all i was doing was walking thru the mall, or just sitting at a table playing poker. or just waiting in line to buy tickets for a movie. funny that came to mind. dont know if it was national news but there were two guys that got in a fight down here in Florida while standing in line at the movie theater. one guy punched the other guy in the head, when the guy fell down he hit his head and died. both guys were over 60yrs old. can you believe that? anyway that basketball melee was sick. i'v never seen that many people breaking out into an all out brawl. people were getting knocked out all over the stadium. a complete free for all, just start throwing punches and fight for your life. this country is whacked.

tomrw is election day. i saw a 'what if ..' clip about the election. there are a number of ways that the election could end in a tie where both candidates receive 269 electoral votes. then the election goes to a vote by the new congress in january. the house will most likely be republican, so theyll vote bush. the senate will elect the VP, and there is a good possibliity that it might be democratic in january. theyll vote john edwards as VP. now that would be fun.

jets won. i said theyr going 14-2 with two losses to new england. last week was the first. and they lost with a lot of dignity. what a good year its going to be. i think i predicted that they will lose the superbowl this year. or championship, but theyll go to the superbowl 4 of the next 7 years. inspiring aint i?

They Live is not as good the second time around. watching it the first time was much better. once you knew what was going to happen, it became a very stupid movie. went to the poker tables tonight. got in on a texas holdem tournament. 220 to the winner, and 100 for second. my first tournmt. was just dying not to be the first guy out. once the first guy was out i was very relaxed. caught onto each persons betting habits quickly, and how the table was going and i felt like i was the pro at the table. i went all in 3 times, and 2 times everyone bailed so i won the pot. the third time i wound up knocking the other guy out. he went all in first actually and i called him. i had K-A, he had K-J. we flopped and both wound up with a K pair, and my Ace kicker won it for me. then it was down to three of us. two of us were close but i was top guy. the third guy was dying quikly. i thought that i should bet cautiously and just wait till he was out so i'd be in the money. guaranteed $100. i had a pair of sixes and bet 1000. the guy in second went all in. i called him. he had a pair of sevens, and the flop didnt help either of us, so he won. i was out a few hands later and damnit didnt get in the money. but if that wasnt the peak of excitement i dont know what is. i've done a lot of exciting shit in my life and this is defntly a top ten. blood pumping adrenalin rush. strategy is flowing thru your veins.

do you know a freemason? do you know what a freemason is? One of an ancient and secret association or fraternity with secret rites and signs, said to have been at first composed of masons or builders in stone, but now consisting of persons who are united for social enjoyment and mutual assistance. i think these people are possibly Amway members, and they attend Calvary church, they ride around on bicycles wearing bicycle helmets dressed in a white shirt and tie. who are these people? theyr the people in They Live. if you'v never seen that movie, see it now. sci-fi movie with roddy piper, sick, and hysterical, with an eerie possiblity of truth. makes you think, 'am i living in another world that i dont know about?'

do you know of the golden ratio? i never heard of this number before. i went to college for 6 long years, and never heard any mention of it in any class i ever took. but apparently this is the magic number that everything on this planet is determined by. your very existence is generated by this number. where did i hear about this? reading the da Vinci code. intriguing book. its keeping me interested so far, but a security guard at the airport saw the book and said, 'oh this is such a good book.' i said, 'yeah its hooked me but does it have a good ending?' and her reply was, 'its a very historically accurate book. its very enjoyable to read.' that probably means that the ending's gonna suck, but i'll read on anyway.

poker is big lately. i've even played a few hands. started with 7 card stud then moved up to texas hold 'em! it seems to have a more even playing field because you have 5 community cards. easier to have confidence in your hand. anyway i'll be heading out to pompano racetrack tonight for a little texas. they now have tournaments you can enter for $45. think i might jump in on that.

was just remembering this disturbing memory i have. its disturbed me for a long time. at least 10 years. i was watching the news coverage of the tallest card tower ever built. a kid did it in las vegas. it was about 10 ft wide and about 30ft tall. i think it was at a casino in las vegas, but this link says, The house was built using 91,800 cards in the lobby of the casino at Potsdamer Platz, Berlin, Germany and recorded for the Guinness die Show der Rekord. maybe i saw coverage of the previous record in vegas, because i can only remember that there was a host there, an elvis impersonator, and lots of people. when the host was announcing that the record was broken, hundreds of people were clapping, and elvis began swinging his mic stand and singing. he did some elvis pelvis then turned and hit the bottom of the tower with the mic stand. a big 'OHH!' was heard from the crowd and all eyes widened. the entire house came crumbling down from 30ft high. and elvis kept on singing like nothing happened. the news story cut away but i remember seeing that and freaking out on my couch. do you believe that shit? can you believe that? would you? could you ever do that to someone? that son of a bitch had no respect for that kid that slaved over that tower for days. elvis couldnt even let him enjoy his masterpiece for even 10 seconds before he destroyed it. i was outta my mind and it still disturbs me today. some people are complete assholes.

we were hit by lightening last month. dont forget that. lots of damage done. lost computers, printers, a vcr, a router, two more modems and 4 apc units. a direct hit will blow out anything, surge suppressors wont save a thing. blew a hole the size of a golfball in the side of the house. thru the cinderblock, thru the drywall, blew the light switch cover off the wall into pieces in the hallway 14ft away.

sorry, but i hate the yankees and relished this years defeat. the yakees are The Man, and i just dont get along with the man too good. never did like the man. when he's brought down to my level i'm happy. but moreso that it was boston, in an unforgettable come from behind victory, returning from an 0-3 deficit, winning 4 games in a row taking it to game 7. one for the record books. a memorable return from the abyss.

lots to catch up on.

Why I don't vote

election day 1992. i'm psyched. i'm voting for ross perot. even though i knew he couldnt win. it was the first time i was going to vote. i still feel that if he didnt pull out then jump back in,. he wouldv won. pretty damn easily too. his momentum was like a tidal wave. anyway. i arrived at berkely school, new milford new jersey at 10:30am. i can remember the morning as if it were yesterday. i had returned from florida 6yrs after leaving for college and was living with my mother in the apartment that i grew up in as a kid. berkely school was less than 500 yards away at the outskirts of the apt complex. it was a winding route thru the development that i had walked a thousand times as a child, and i could tell you a thousand stories that occured within that walk. i didnt go to school there, but i did attend the summer recreation activities there every summer. i remember losing the bumper pool championship to a GIRL. gee thats a memory that i'll never forget. i can even remember the shot that lost it. i remember it being a sure thing, i had so much confidence. but it didnt go in. wow. that was a tough one to swallow. i remember being in shock the entire day. anyhow. as i walked to berkely school i passed the spot michael pitcher and i played stickball as 8-9 yr olds. the box was still painted on the wall in back of the garages, and the old mans window down the third base line that we hit so many times. actually whenever you hit that apt, you ran. you knew he was going to open the window and yell at you. around the corner was the 'pit'. it was a basement that was under each apt building. but this one had a big 3ft X 3ft fan at the door. i remember being told that there was a guy that lived under there. every night that i walked my schnauzer, snoopy, i always yelled at her when she ran over there. i panicked thinking that the guy would jump out and grab me when i went to pick up the damn dog. i was terrified from years 8-11. continuing the walk, i entered another court of apts in the shape of a horse shoe. that was george and keiths court. on the other side was a row of bushes with an opening that lead you onto berkely school property. i walked up to the gymnasium, entered, stood in line. i was very excited to vote for the first time. i was making a statement. i felt like my vote 'did matter'. it was something i should do out of respect of our forefathers. VOTE. its a right thats been given to you to change your country for the better. i refused to vote for the 10 years prior to 1992 because i felt my vote meant nothing. my vote woodnt mean a damn thing whether you got it or you didnt. but today i felt i could make a change. i stepped up to the portable table and the woman said, 'name please'. i replied, 'john becker'. she searched for a short time, then replied, 'can you spell that please?' i replied, 'john b-e-c-k-e-r.' she said, 'and your address?' i obliged. she replied, 'are you sure your registered? i dont see you here.'

Flashback

i was working at Manhattan Supreme Court. i was in charge of the hollow metal restoration. i worked for a company in hoboken nj, called LMT steel. i was exiting the courthouse, walking down those memorable steps seen in so many movies. as i stepped to the bottom i was met by a couple of college students from pace university. they had clipboards full of applications. they asked me if i was a registered voter. i said no. they said that i could register by filling out the voter registration form. i told them i lived in nj. they said it wouldnt be a problem. then again, how many people live in PA, NJ, or CT, and work in manahattan. a whole lot. so why should i worry? so i filled out the form, signed it and headed for the subway, thinking, 'i'm going to vote this year. i'm going to vote for ross perot. this is cool.' this was in september, so my anticipation grew over the next few weeks. i couldnt wait to vote.

Back to reality

'are you sure your registered? i dont see you here.' i replied, 'yes i'm sure, i filled out a form that a college student gave me to register to vote.' she says, 'i'm sorry but your not on this list.' i said, 'what can i do?' she told me to go to the county courthouse in hackensack, new jersey, and explain my story to the judge. so thats what i did. i drove the 10 miles to the county courthouse and walked up the steps and into a large hallway full of people. sitting, standing, sitting on the floor. a lot of people. i made my way to a table and the woman asked me why i was there. i said, 'i went to vote and they said i wasnt registered, but i DID register.' her reply was, 'ok. fill out this form stating why you think you should be able to vote. bring it back to me then wait till they call your name.' i waited around till 8pm, along with at least a thousand other people. i was finally called in. and i actually stood before a judge. he read my statement about what happened, registering with the pace college student, going to berkely school to vote and being told i wasnt on the list. and that i earnestly wanted to take part in this election. he looked me straight in the eye and said, ' i dont know why you trusted someone else to get you registered, this is not reason enough for me to allow you to register and vote today. i'm sorry son, but you're going to have to wait till next year.' i said, 'but i want to vote for president.' he replied, 'you can practice for three years. i'm sorry. have a good night.' and that was that. so i said thats that too. if you dont want me to vote then i wont vote. and that'll be that. now i can blame all of YOU for the troubles of this country. my logic will go back to what it was in my past. my vote means nothing. my vote wont mean a damn thing whether you get it or you dont. but this much i'll say, if you want me to cast the deciding vote, i'll be happy to do it. THAT, would be exciting.

looking back. there mustv been 1000 people waiting and wanting to vote that day. and one by one they were sent home like myself. now if you multiply that by every county courthouse in america. that would easily be over 5 million votes. would that make a difference? maybe, maybe not. but thats an awful lot of votes to throw away. people wanting to vote! being told to go home! whats with this country? the government doenst want YOU to vote, they just want THEYR people to vote. they dont need any more people like you and me in the mix. they already have everything mapped out, and thats that. all we are is a nuisance. more paperwork and more counting, just a pain in the ass that they would rather do without. it was explained to me by my mentor that the judge was most likely NOT voting for Ross Perot, and being he could see that i was WAS voting for RP, he had no choice but to discard my vote, to protect his own interest. and yes this happens at every election, at every courthouse in america. thats how the system works.

who's on first?
was in chicago this week. sitting at breakfast at pippindales restaurant in the lobby of holiday inn, skokie illinois. the server, a nice asian fella, comes to the table
i say,'can i have a toasted english muffin?'
he apparently heard 'can i have a toast and english muffin?'
so he replies, 'yas sa. what kind of toast?'
i looked up with a raised eyebrow, 'an english muffin?'
he says, 'yas i no sa. bot what kind ov toast do you want?
i shake my head in confusion, 'can i have a toasted english muffin?'
Kyobyashi says, 'yas sa. and the toast, what kind?'
i turn to my business partner across the table and she says, 'he just wants an english muffin thats all.' kyobyashi says, 'no toast?' my eyes pop out of my head.
i reply, 'yeah just an english muffin. no toast'
then i looked across the table and we burst out laughing. guess you had to be there.
