I should have stayed awake
But I missed the leaves falling from the trees
Still it wasn't for your sake
But the sun did set on the flowers and the bees
And time did pass without me around

Why you took that stroll to the other side of town

You cried while the stars fell from the sky
And they laughed because they didn't know why
