Taking the ferry back from Liberty Island offered perfect pictures of the sunset on Manhattan.

December 31, 1997 - New York City Skyline
A picture taken from the ferry as it approached Liberty Island. The spotted clouds add a nice contrast to the cold blue sky as the Statue of Liberty overlooks Manhattan.
Summer of 1994 - 4th of July
Unfortunately a cloud moved in as I took the picture, but it's easy to see how the size of the towers compares to the cruise ship on the Hudson.
